Terry Gier M.S., CCC-SLP – Principal
Terry is an experienced clinician, educator and administrator who earned her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in speech-language pathology from the University of South Florida. She has extensive experience working with children with disabilities in a classroom setting, including: speech-language therapy, teaching STEM, teaching middle school Language Arts, organizing and performing intensive small-group reading lessons and coordinating/managing a team of speech-language pathology assistants. She also brings experience and training in alternative and augmentative communication, and applied behavior analysis.
Jon Brock – Assistant Principal
Jon has a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Florida, with years of experience in philanthropy, education and business (including special needs education and treatment, real estate, and film). Jon has most recently been serving as the CFO for Peace by Piece Solutions, a behavioral therapy center in Fort Myers; and the Broker/Owner of The Agency Realty & Property Management, in Lakeland. As a board president and volunteer for numerous Polk County organizations, including the Learning Resource Center, Jr. Achievement, Harrison Parents Association, HOBY, and the Lakeland Community Theatre, Jon has an extensive history of working with local youth.
Charlene Luxama – Educator
Charlene earned her Associate’s degree from Florida Atlantic University and is currently pursuing her bachelor’s degree. Charlene completed four years of teaching experience, and four of those years were with students with special needs. Charlene has also worked as a Youth Development Professional. In that role, she provided direct care support to adolescents with high-end psychiatric challenges. Charlene has also served as a high school track and field coach for four years.
